Fun story about these flowers. I used to stop and smell them all the time as a child when I lived in Prince George, on my walk to and from school. One day I picked one and a big, yellow-green spider was in the middle. I didn’t notice until I bent down to sniff it. I screamed. The flower (and spider) went flying. The boys I was walking with laughed. I still love the smell of these flowers but am a lot more cautious when I go to smell one now.
